Job summary

Border States Industries, Inc. is seeking a Branch Intern in Grand Island, NE.

The intern will gain a solid understanding of the location and overall business while handling day-to-day projects related to process improvement, data support and warehousing. The role emphasizes collaboration with multiple departments, shadowing branch operations and customer service teams, and contributing to project work and reporting.

Qualifications

• Current student or new graduate in a 2- or 4-year degree program.
• Strong knowledge of business office procedures, data entry and communication systems helpful.
• Proficient with PC for Windows and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Works on day-to-day projects in the branch department, including process improvement, project management, data support, reporting and documentation.
• Builds relationships through meetings and interactions with employee owners and leaders.
• Shadows Customer Service Representatives and Branch Operations to learn all aspects of the branch.
• Assists delivery drivers with product movement and customer interactions on job sites.
