Job summary

Adoration Health seeks a Branch Operations Manager to lead daily branch activities, staffing, and financial stewardship across a hospice operations site. You will drive efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with HR for timely onboarding and staff development.

You will oversee budgets, patient care delivery support, and cross-department collaboration to uphold service excellence and adherence to safety standards within the community.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year hospice experience.
  • Minimum 1 year business development experience.
  • Must have valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel software.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the management staff in developing and working from a business plan that focuses on all aspects of branch office operations, including setting priorities and job assignments.
  • Monitors each department's activities, communicates policies, evaluates performance, provides feedback, and assists, observes, and disciplines as needed.
  • Develops an environment that allows for creative thinking, problem solving and empowerment in the development of a branch office management team.
  • Oversee regular rounds to monitor delivery of nursing care, operation of support departments, cleanliness and appearance of the branch office; morale of the staff; and ensures patient needs are being addressed.
  • Exhibits positive customer service to internal and external customers through ongoing support and implementation of customer service initiatives and business objectives.
  • Maintains compliance with governmental regulations and ensures timely and accurate reporting.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition for staffing, onboarding, and addressing employee relations issues.
  • Manage branch office budgets and business practices including labor costs, payables, and receivables; meet budget and A/R goals.
  • Develop and implement a growth strategy reflecting service opportunities and market changes to maximize census and ancillary revenues.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures consultants and other support resources are appropriately utilized and a high level of interdepartmental teamwork is maintained.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of and ensure compliance with all governmental regulations.
  • Implement effective processes to maintain employee requirements, effective communication, and timely and accurate reporting. Establish an environment that encourages growth, employee morale, and staff retention.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to ensure timely hiring and onboarding of staff, timely resolution of employee complaints/concerns, and guidance in addressing employee relations issues.
  • Manage branch office budgets and business practices to include labor costs, payables, and receivables. Monitor business activities to ensure procedures and standards are followed, appropriate handling of funds and that sound credible business practices are always followed. Communicate budget guidelines and expectations to department managers. Meet established budget and Accounts Receivable goals as developed by department supervisor.
  • Develop and implement a growth strategy for the branch office that reflects service opportunities, competition, potential market changes, and which maximizes census, payor mix, and ancillary revenues. Lead and monitor key staff and branch office staff to play an active role in carrying out the growth plan. Take initiative in evaluation, development and implementation of new business opportunities that meet the needs of the community and benefit the branch office/HHC/SVH.
  • Develops positive relationships on behalf of the HHC/SVH with government regulators, patients, families, area health care, physicians, and the community at large. Acts as a resource of information to the community related to health care issues.
  • Comply with, support and enforce HHC/SVH policies involving all safety and infection control procedures.
  • Promote and understanding of and compliance with all rules regarding patient's rights; promote positive relationships with patients, visitors and regulators.
  • Supervise, conduct and participate in department and branch office education activities and staff meetings.
  • Utilize the quality improvement process in all areas of branch office operation.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required
