Job summary

Carrier Enterprise Puerto Rico is hiring for a Totaline Runner / Store Associate. This role involves dispatching routes, delivering equipment, stocking the showroom, and assisting customers with purchases of residential and commercial HVAC equipment.

You will process orders, manage inventory, and coordinate with the Warranty Department as needed. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of related experience, a Refrigeration Technician certification (plus), and basic computer skills.

Totaline Runner / Store Associate

General Description

This position is responsible for dispatch routes, deliveries, and receiving equipment. It involves selling equipment, materials, and parts for residential and commercial air conditioners; taking customer orders; receiving and recording new parts inventory; and organizing the warehouse to maintain a safe and secure environment. This role interacts with all management levels at Carrier Puerto Rico, as well as with customers and vendors.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Runner

• Perform assigned daily store routes and errands.
• Ensure timely and in-good-condition delivery and pickup of customer equipment and other locations.
• Maintain documentation for each task completed while on route.
• Notify your manager of any issues found during equipment searches or deliveries.
• Follow all traffic rules and regulations established by law during your routes.
• Keep the assigned truck/vehicle in good condition.
• Report immediately any vehicle-related issues to your manager.

Store Associate

• Promote sales of residential and commercial air conditioners, installation parts and materials, and after-sales products for external/internal customers.
• Complete sales by entering purchased items into the system, collecting payment, adding the purchase to the customer credit account, and issuing sales receipts.
• Maintain inventory by verifying available quantities; place orders when reorder points are reached.
• Work in coordination with the Warranty Department to process claims and advise customers on internal policies related to returns or part exchanges.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Notify the supervisor and assist with repairs, cleaning, maintenance, and other efforts needed to keep the stores in an orderly condition.
• Keep the equipment and parts well displayed in the showroom to attract customers.
• Pick up merchandise from the main warehouse and stock it in the store warehouse.
• Store items by unpacking, organizing, and placing goods into containers, shelves, and the store warehouse.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment by following safety and protection standards and procedures, complying with the EH&S and CE Code of Ethics.
• Contribute to the team effort to achieve monthly sales results.
• Other tasks required by Carrier Puerto Rico Inc.

Expected Competency Areas

Computer Skills

• Basic knowledge and experience using computers.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel.

Special Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (preferred: Class 8)
• Forklift experience (preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• This position may require exposure to warm temperatures, sunlight, and driving around the island.
• Availability to work some Saturdays.

Languages

• Fluency in Spanish. Conversational English is a plus.
