Carrier Enterprise in Cedar Falls, IA is a leading HVAC/R distributor seeking a Branch Counter Sales Associate to greet customers, share product knowledge, and process orders for HVAC products and supplies. You will support contractors and dealers with accurate pricing and strong service.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent with one (1) year of customer service experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using computerized sales and inventory management systems.
• Prior Forklift certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greet customers and provide expert advice, product information, and recommendations to help them find the right HVAC/R products and supplies for their needs.
• Accurately process customer orders, ensuring that all requested items are available, properly priced, and invoiced correctly.
• Maintain a deep understanding of our HVAC/R product inventory, including specifications, compatibility, and pricing.
• Monitor and replenish floor stock, conduct regular inventory counts, and report any discrepancies to the Branch Manager.
• Promote sales and special offers to customers and upsell products when appropriate.
• Provide warehouse operations support, including receiving, inspecting, and stocking incoming merchandise.

Job Summary

In the Branch Sales Associate role, you will be the face of our branch, providing exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and support to HVAC/R professionals and contractors who visit our location. Your enthusiasm for the industry, excellent communication skills, and commitment to delivering top-notch customer service will be the key to your success. This position is eligible for monthly performance-based bonuses and incentives.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide expert advice, product information, and recommendations to help them find the right HVAC/R products and supplies for their needs.
• Accurately process customer orders, ensuring that all requested items are available, properly priced, and invoiced correctly.
• Maintain a deep understanding of our HVAC/R product inventory, including specifications, compatibility, and pricing.
• Monitor and replenish floor stock, conduct regular inventory counts, and report any discrepancies to the Branch Manager.
• Promote sales and special offers to customers and upsell products when appropriate.
• Provide warehouse operations support, including receiving, inspecting, and stocking incoming merchandise.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock replenishment, and product organization.
• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks per company policy.
• Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean, organized counter and warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in HVAC/R or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R products, equipment, and components.
• Excellent customer service skills, including active listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using computerized sales and inventory management systems.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of merchandise.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Bending, stooping, and reaching to access products and supplies
• May need to operate a Forklift. Prior Forklift certification preferred.
