Job summary

Carrier Enterprise in Puerto Rico is seeking an experienced HVAC controls engineer responsible for programming, drawings, schedules, and commissioning of BAS projects.

You will implement system graphics, wire controllers, test networks, and support sales with technical layouts and bids. Willing to travel outside Puerto Rico is required.

Bachelor degree in Electronics or related field and at least three years in controls hardware and software applications are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electronics or related field.
• Minimum three years installing/commissioning controls systems.
• 3 years HVAC controls hardware experience and related schematics.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Demonstrated advanced computer skills and CAD/drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop software per established standards for control systems.
• Create drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
• Perform BAS animated graphics and system startup/commissioning.
• Assist sales with technical bid proposals and layouts.
• Willing to travel outside Puerto Rico.

• Performs software programming using established standards as a basis of design.
• Performs the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
• Perform Building Automation Systems animated graphics.
• Perform the commissioning and start up in HVAC Controls Projects.
• Knowledge in wiring connection to the controllers.
• Strong technical experience.
• Knowledge in Building Networks.
• Knowledge in basic HVAC sensor functionally.
• Assists sales by providing technical recommendations to produce job layouts and assist with bid proposals.
• Adheres to safety standards. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
• Willing to travel outside of Puerto Rico.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Electronics or related fields.

Minimum of three years of experience with installing and/or commissioning controls systems including system-level controllers.

3 years’ experience in HVAC controls hardware (i.e. flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, electrical schematics) and software applications.

Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

Demonstrated technical aptitude.

Demonstrated advanced computer skills required, particularly computer-related drafting tools.
