Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in Lexington, KY, is seeking a full-time Installation Coordinator to support floorcovering sales and coordinate installer activities through independent contractors for wholesale customers.

You will help identify installers, schedule installations, and ensure work is performed to our quality standards, while maintaining proper records and communicating clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours
• Internal Sherwin-Williams rating of at least 'meets expectations' (3)
• Completion of HR Cloud eLearning courses required for current position

Responsibilities

• Support sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams floorcovering store for wholesale customers
• Assist Branch Manager in identifying floorcovering installers
• Establish installation schedules and communicate assignments
• Perform on-site inspections to ensure customer satisfaction
• Review installer accounts and coordinate information with external sources
• Ensure installer transactions are properly recorded in store systems
• Identify training needs and arrange required training

Job description

The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Store #701223 located at 701223 2140 Capstone Dr., Ste. 120, Lexington, KY 40511.

This is a full-time position.

This position supports sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams floorcovering store and coordinates all aspects of floorcovering installation through independent contractors to service wholesale floorcovering customers. In this role, you will assist in identifying floorcovering installers, schedule installation, and ensure installation is conducted consistent with expectations.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the general public.

• Support the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams floorcovering store, servicing wholesale customers.
• Assist the Branch Manager in identifying floorcovering installers
• Establish installation schedule and communicate assignments
• Perform on-site inspections of installations to ensure customer satisfaction
• Review new and existing floorcovering installer accounts including contacting outside sources for information
• Ensure all installer transactions are handled properly through store computer operating system and records are properly maintained
• Determine floorcovering installation training needs and require training as appropriate

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, with or without reasonable accommodation
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have received at least a "meets expectations" (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have at least a High School diploma or GED
• Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
• Have previous work experience selling floorcovering and/or floorcovering products
• Have prior work experience operating floorcovering cutting equipment
• Have previous work experience installing floorcovering
• Have the Carpet and Vinyl Installation Certification by the Carpet and Rug Institute
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
