Job summary

Newtown Savings Bank in Newtown, CT is seeking an energetic Universal Banker II for the Church Hill branch. The role focuses on generating deposits, loan applications, and investment referrals while delivering outstanding customer service.

The Universal Banker II may lead in the absence of Branch Management and assist with staff coaching and cross-branch coverage. Candidates should be prepared for weekend work and compliance with bank policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years previous relevant customer service and/or sales experience.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Banking experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous service to all external and internal customers. Resolve complaints or refer to Branch Management.
• Proactively offer solutions and solicit new business by identifying needs and recommendations.
• Develop new account relationships and open accounts based on customer needs.
• Work with Customer Experience Manager to drive staff to achieve goals and assist in management of performance.
• Assist with creating weekly branch schedules and ensure adequate staffing.
• Maintain compliance with CIP, BSA, AML and OFAC requirements and complete all compliance deadlines.
• Meet with supervisor to discuss performance and development and provide coaching to staff.
