Job summary

Newtown Savings Bank in Connecticut seeks a proactive Float Universal Banker II to support Brookfield, Southbury and Monroe branches. The role generates deposits, processes loans and referrals, and helps drive sales across the branch network.

In absence of Branch Management, you will lead operations, coach staff, and ensure compliance with CIP/BSA/AML while delivering exceptional customer service and meeting goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of customer service and/or sales experience.
• Banking experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous service to customers and refer to Branch Management as needed.
• Solicit new business, promote deposit products, and respond to inquiries.
• Develop new account relationships and process loan and credit card applications.
• Handle teller transactions and maintain customer information per policy.
• Assist with branch operations, including audits, balancing, and daily tasks.
• Process wire requests and foreign currency transactions within authority.
• Lead in absence of Branch Management and support staff development.
• Coach staff on sales and service goals; ensure compliance with CIP/BSA/AML.
