Job summary

Michigan Schools & Government Credit Union (MSGCU) in Warren, MI is seeking a Branch Associate to perform a broad range of member sales and service functions alongside teller transactions. You will focus on listening to identify member needs, cross selling MSGCU products, and building loyal member relationships.

The role emphasizes delivering an excellent member experience, adhering to service standards, and contributing to a collaborative branch team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; and
• 6 months teller experience or retail sales experience; and
• Either 2 years retail sales experience, or Associate degree preferably in Business, Marketing, Accounting or Finance, or
• 1 year of member/customer facing experience within financial services.

Responsibilities

• Member Service Representative duties: processing loan applications, opening memberships, IRAs, setting up automated services, and supporting Call Center; explain ownership options and eligibility.
• Teller duties: cashing checks, deposits/withdrawals, member payments, CD transactions, and account maintenance.
• Relationships: build trusting member relationships and resolve issues using MSGCU products.
• Cross-Selling: use consultative approach to identify needs and offer MSGCU solutions.
