Job summary

Baird is seeking a Branch Administrative Supervisor in Edina, MN to lead branch support staff and manage complex administrative tasks. You will supervise onboarding, training, and communication within the Branch Management Team, planning and directing the branch’s admin work and improving procedures.

The role requires licenses (SIE, Series 7, 63/65 or 66) or the ability to obtain them within a year, plus strong organizational and tech skills to support PWM operations and AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
  • Must have SIE, Series 7, 63/65 or 66 licenses or be able to obtain licenses within 1 year.
  • Strong technology aptitude with the ability to adopt new tools, including AI-enabled solutions, preferred.
  • 3+ years of industry experience as a registered client specialist or comparable role preferred. Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of advanced sales support functions.
  • Strong organizational skills - ability to prioritize and delegate branch’s daily workflow to effectively organize tasks/people.
  • Consistently demonstrate effective follow-thru and high quality performance.
  • Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and all PWM technology and productivity tools.
  • Ability to work well in and effectively lead a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
  • Superior analytical skills with a focus on detail.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the employment life cycle, including interviewing and onboarding or off boarding, of branch associates.
  • Support ongoing associate development through performance management, coaching, and goal alignment.
  • Communicate branch initiatives and lead monthly staff meetings.
  • Supervise and evaluate the work of the branch support staff; prioritize tasks and monitor progress.
  • Schedule staff hours, manage timecard approvals, and provide backup as needed.
  • Resolve problems and interpret policies, procedures, and guidelines for staff.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned; may supervise up to 10 staff.
  • Handle various administrative tasks supporting the branch management team.

About the Role:

The Branch Administrative Supervisor (BAS) is primarily responsible for performing advanced administrative, industry and professional support functions for the Branch Management Team. In addition, the Branch Administrative Supervisoris responsible forassistingwith supervision of the branch support staff, including onboarding, training,developmentand ongoing associate communication. The position also includes planning,directingand organizing the branch’s administrative work,developingand recommending branch procedures, and researching and completing special projects.This position will require a comprehensive understanding of ClientSpecialist(CS) functions and expectations.

The Impact You’ll Make:
  • Responsible for the employment life cycle, including interviewing and onboarding or off boarding, of branch associates
  • Responsible for, in partnership with the Branch Administrative Manager and Financial Advisors, ongoing associate development through the performance management process. Facilitates setting associate goals and ongoing monthly performance coaching toestablishproper career development. In addition, ensures alignment of goals with branch and FA business plans
  • Ensures associates are aware of PWM branch initiatives andcommunicatesadministrative and operational topics to staff appropriately.Assistwith plans andleadsmonthly staff meetings
  • Supervises and evaluates the work of the branch support staff. Prioritizes work, assignstasksandmonitorsprogress
  • Schedules support staff work hours and time off to provide adequate coverage for the branch’s varied assignments andmanagestimecard approvals. May act as backup to staff, filling in where necessary
  • Resolves problems and interprets policies, procedures, and guidelines for staff
  • Performs other duties and specialprojects asassigned

Compensation and Benefits:
  • $33.59 - $45.49 hourly rate
  • Bonus potential up to 10.5% of base pay
  • Compensation and bonus are commensurate with experience, performance and/or firm profitability
