Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Brake and Tire Technician in Amarillo to maintain the latest fleet. You will secure trucks on lifts, perform tire and brake work, mount/dismount tires, and sometimes road test vehicles. A training program with Ford, GMC, and U-Haul supports growth.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of repair experience preferred.
• Driver's license required.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
• Basic computer skills expected.
• Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Mount, dismount, and balance tires.
• Occasionally road test vehicles.
• Work in a production line.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Lend assistance in additional areas as necessary per supervisor's guidance.
