QPS Employment Group is currently hiring for a Brake Press Set Up Technician in Germantown, WI. This full-time opportunity on 1st or 2nd shift offers a wage of $27.00/hour and temp-to-hire or direct hire options.

The role requires 5+ years of brake press set-up and operation on light-gauge materials, with strong blueprint reading and basic CNC programming/offsets preferred. You will set up tooling, perform inspections, maintain equipment, and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of brake press set-up and operation on light-gauge sheet metal.
• Strong blueprint reading skills.
• Basic CNC press brake programming/offsets preferred.
• Able to lift 40-50 pounds and stand for full shift.
• Experience with Amada, Trumpf or Bystronic equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of bend allowance/K-factor; aluminum/stainless forming preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a brake press to blueprint specs on light-gauge materials.
• Set up tooling, back gauges, and programming offsets.
• Read/interpret blueprints; hold tight tolerances.
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections and adjust as needed.
• Maintain equipment, 5S, and safety compliance.
• Document production and report issues.
