Job summary

SPX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Brake Press Operator in Cincinnati with 1–3 years of experience operating manual hydraulic or mechanical press brakes. You will safely set up, adjust tooling, read blueprints, and produce quality sheet metal parts per specifications on a 2nd shift with training on 1st shift.

You will inspect finished parts, maintain a clean work area, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to meet schedules and safety goals.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience operating manual hydraulic or mechanical press brakes in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing manual machine setups, tooling changes, and bend adjustments.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings
• Ability to accurately use measuring instruments including calipers, tape measures, and gauges
• Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail
• Strong commitment to safety and quality

Responsibilities

• Safely set up and operate press brake equipment following company procedures and safety standards.
• Perform pre-operation inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area per 5S.
• Safely use required PPE and follow all plant safety policies.
• Set up and operate manual press brake equipment, including punches and dies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, routing sheets, and production schedules.
• Verify material type, thickness, and dimensions before production.
• Produce both short-run and high-volume parts while maintaining quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished parts with precision tools and document production data.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other team members; participate in continuous improvement.
