Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Brake Press Operator in Ohio to manufacture precision metal components for industrial air movement equipment. You will safely set up and operate manual press brakes, bend and form sheet metal, and ensure parts meet engineering specifications on a 2nd shift with 1st shift training.

The role emphasizes strict safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to cross-train on additional fabrication equipment and collaborate with a skilled manufacturing

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience operating manual hydraulic or mechanical press brakes in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing manual machine setups, tooling changes, and bend adjustments.
• Experience fabricating sheet metal components using manual press brake equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
• Ability to accurately use measuring instruments including calipers, tape measures, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up and operate press brake equipment following company procedures and safety standards.
• Perform pre-operation equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S principles.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, routing sheets, and production schedules.
• Inspect finished parts and verify dimensions, bend angles, and tolerances meet print specifications.
