Job summary

KMC Stampings is seeking a Brake Press Operator for the 1st shift in Port Washington, WI. This hands-on role involves operating manual brake presses and punch presses to form and bend a variety of materials, following drawings and specifications to ensure quality.

Ideal candidates are detail-focused, with 6–12 months of manufacturing experience, strong teamwork, and good reading/writing skills. The position offers a supportive training program and opportunities for skill growth within a safe,

Responsibilities

Operate brake press and punch press to form, bend and punch a variety of work.
Work from drawings, specifications, patterns, or templates.
Use scale, protractor, fixed angle and radii gauges.
Sorting and packaging parts.
Verify quantity & quality of material.
Empty scrap luggars and performs miscellaneous tasks as required.
Operates overhead crane while moving product.
Complete & maintain all required paperwork.
Responsible for strict adherence to all company/departmental policies and procedures related to safety and conduct rules and other regulations.
