Crenlo Careers is seeking a press operator in Minnesota to operate brake presses and produce parts per routing and blueprints, with safety and quality at the forefront.
You will set up machines, perform forming, shaping and perforating tasks, report labor data accurately, maintain a clean, safe work area, and assist with other duties as needed. A good command of English and the ability to read route sheets and blueprints are required; prior manufacturing or press operator experience is preferred.
Operation of various brake presses. Responsible for the production of parts in a safe manner following the routing described and the specifications required by the blueprint.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Satisfactory completion of Crenlo’s Press Brake Training course is required.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial. Previous experience as a press operator is desired.
A good command of the English language is required, both written and spoken. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Ability to read and understand route sheets and blueprints and check parts to print.
Must be able to physically perform the essential functions of the job for normal setup and operation of press. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 24 lbs., frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Typically requires standing on a regular basis and walking and stooping occasionally. Must be able to handle parts for inspection, stack parts and move parts to next operation and/or work station. Specific vision requirements include depth perception and peripheral vision.
Operation of brake presses is required. Typically requires the use of a forklift and hoist. Hearing protection, safety glasses and steel-toed shoes with metatarsal protection are required.
