Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA seeks a Brake Press Operator for our Santa Teresa, NM facility on the 3rd shift. You will safely set up and operate brake press equipment to fabricate metal products per customer specifications while upholding high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Minimum 1–2 years of brake press or metal fabrication experience is required, along with the ability to read work orders, use measuring tools, and perform basic math.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years brake press, machine operation, or metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read work instructions and perform basic math calculations.
• Experience using measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust brake press equipment to bend and form metal components.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Safely operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Identify and report quality, equipment, or safety concerns.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
