Job summary

IQ Resource Group, Inc. is seeking a mechanically inclined Brake Press Operator in Manitowoc, Wisconsin for a 2nd shift. Hours are 4:00pm to 2:30am, Monday through Thursday, with training on the 1st shift. Excellent benefits accompany the position.

You will set up and operate brake press machines, read blueprints, and measure parts with calipers and micrometers to ensure strict tolerances. Lift up to 50 lbs; HS diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brake press machines safely and efficiently to produce parts per blueprints.
• Read blueprints and use calipers, micrometers and gauges to ensure tolerances.
• Adjust machine settings, tooling and programs to maintain quality.
• Perform quality inspections and complete production paperwork accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S standards and train others when needed.

Job description

IQ Resource Group is currently recruiting for a mechanically inclined Brake Press Operator for a growing customer in Manitowoc. This is a 2nd shift position working only 4 days a week and offers excellent benefits with hire.

Hours:

• 4:00pm to 2:30am
• Monday to Thursday
• Will train on 1st shift

Wage:

• $22.29 to $ $29.36 BOE

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate brake press machines safely and efficiently to produce parts according to blueprint specifications.
• Perform general machine operation and fabrication duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Read blueprints and use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure parts meet quality standards and tolerances.
• Adjust machine settings, tooling, and programs to maintain accurate bends and consistent production quality.
• Fabricate, form, and inspect metal components according to production requirements.
• Perform quality inspections on finished parts and complete production paperwork accurately.
• Retrieve and stage materials needed for production runs.
• Troubleshoot machine or tooling issues and assist with process improvements when needed.
• Perform light preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area following safety and 5S standards.
• Assist with training other operators on brake press setup and operation procedures.

Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
• Must have basic math skills
• Must have HS diploma or GED
