Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Brake Press Operator for our manufacturing client in Centralia, IL. The role supports production operations in the Industrial department, requiring attention to detail, safety awareness, and teamwork.

The ideal candidate will operate brake press machines, read specifications, and ensure quality and dimensional accuracy while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The position runs on 2nd shift (2pm–10:30pm) with opportunities for skill development and career

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and use measuring equipment such as tape measures and calipers.
• Ability to lift, slide and turn heavy gauges up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to safety policies and a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate manually or computer-guided press brake machines.
• Position production materials and tooling to meet specifications.
• Operate controllers and program machines based on production documentation.
• Inspect work to ensure it meets quality and dimensional requirements.

As a Brake Press Operator, you will be part of the Industrial department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and teamwork skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Brake Press Operator

Location: Centralia, IL

Pay Range: $19.75

Shift: 2nd shift -- 2pm-1030pm

• Set up, adjust, and operate manually or computer-guided press brake machines efficiently.
• Position production materials along with tooling, ensuring proper dimensions according to specifications.
• Operate various equipment, including controllers, and program machines based on production documentation.
• Inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and dimensional requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, supporting continuous improvement activities.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent ability in reading, writing, and math.
• Knowledge of press operations, machine operation, and forklift operation.
• Ability to read and use measuring equipment such as tape measures and calipers.
• Ability to lift, slide, and turn heavy gauges of material up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to adhere to safety policies and promote a safe work environment.
