Les Schwab Tire Centers in Springfield, OR is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brakes, suspensions, alignments and TPMS components in a fast-paced shop. You will work with tires, test drives, and offsite service when needed.

Qualified candidates have a valid driver's license, strong customer service, and the stamina to lift up to 75 pounds and stand long hours. We offer comprehensive benefits, paid time off and a quarterly bonus.

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake systems, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering components.
• Test drive vehicles and operate service vehicles for offsite/emergency road services.
• Disassemble/mount tires, rebalance wheels, and handle TPMS components.
• Use shop equipment and hand tools; assist other technicians as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to qualified staff.

Job Description:Brake & Alignment TechnicianBrake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.Primary Responsibilities:Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components; testing and installing batteries; dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components; using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools; assisting other employees; test driving vehicles; and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.; Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.Experience:Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.Qualifications:Valid driver's license; excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment; frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.Pay and Benefits:$16.50 - $26.45For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met, benefits include:Quarterly BonusMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceCompany-funded retirement planPaid time offShort- and long-term disabilityEmployee discountTuition AssistanceBenefits are subject to change at any time and governed by plan documents and Company policy.
