Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers in Arlington, TX is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brake, alignment, and suspension components, install tires, and perform offsite road service as needed.

You will test drive vehicles, rebalance wheels, handle TPMS calibration, and provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service while maintaining high workmanship and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver''s license (required).
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 75 pounds; physical workload includes bending, twisting, kneeling and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drivetrain, and power steering parts.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and road-worthiness.
• Dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies, rebalance wheels, and calibrate TPMS components.
• Assist other employees and operate service vehicles for offsite/emergency road services.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to other qualified employees as needed.

Job Description:Brake & Alignment TechnicianBrake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.Primary Responsibilities:Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components; testing and installing batteries; dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components; using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools; assisting other employees; test driving vehicles; and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.; Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.Experience:Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.Qualifications:Valid driver's license; excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment; frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.Pay and Benefits:$16.50 - $28.00For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met, benefits include:Quarterly BonusMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceCompany-funded retirement planPaid time offShort- and long-term disabilityEmployee discountTuition AssistanceBenefits are subject to change at any time and governed by plan documents and Company policy.
