Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is hiring a Brake & Alignment Technician in Portland, OR. The role covers installing and servicing brake, alignment and suspension systems, batteries, and TPMS components, with on-site and emergency road service as needed.

You will use various tools, work in a fast-paced environment, and deliver excellent customer service. Valid driver’s license and physical lifting requirements apply, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service skills in a rapid pace environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing brake, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components.
• Testing and installing batteries; dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies; rebalancing wheels; TPMS components work.
• Using equipment and hand tools; assisting other employees; test driving vehicles; operating service vehicles for offsite and emergency road service.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Job Description:Brake & Alignment TechnicianBrake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.Primary Responsibilities:Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components; testing and installing batteries; dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components; using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools; assisting other employees; test driving vehicles; and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.
