Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers in Portland, OR is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brakes, alignments, and suspension parts. You will test drive vehicles, replace tires, calibrate TPMS, and support fellow team members while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role involves lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods in a fast-paced shop environment. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and paid training available.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drive train and power steering components.
• Test and install batteries.
• Dismount/mount tires and wheel assemblies, rebalance wheels, and recalibrate TPMS.
• Use service equipment and hand tools to perform repairs.
• Assist other employees and test drive vehicles.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite and emergency road services; provide excellent customer service.

Job Description:

Brake & Alignment Technician Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components;
• testing and installing batteries;
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components;
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools;
• assisting other employees;
• test driving vehicles;
• and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.;
• Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Experience:

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Pay and Benefits:
