Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers in Milwaukie, OR is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brake systems, alignments, suspension and related components. You will install parts, perform tests, and help drive safety and performance across customer vehicles.

The role includes offsite road service support as needed, with on-the-job training provided. A valid driver's license and strong customer service are essential, with physical demands including lifting and bending as part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and standing.
• On-the-job training provided for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drive train and steering components.
• Test and install batteries; dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies; rebalance wheels and TPMS components.
• Use hand tools and shop equipment; assist other technicians; test drive vehicles.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to qualified colleagues as needed.

Job Description:Brake & Alignment TechnicianBrake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.Primary Responsibilities:Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components; testing and installing batteries; dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components; using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools; assisting other employees; test driving vehicles; and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.; Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.Experience:Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.Qualifications:Valid driver's license; excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment; frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.Pay and Benefits:$16.50 - $26.45For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met, benefits include:Quarterly BonusMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceCompany-funded retirement planPaid time offShort- and long-term disabilityEmployee discountTuition AssistanceBenefits are subject to change at any time and governed by plan documents and Company policy.
