Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers in Lewiston, ID, is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brakes, steering, suspension, and alignment systems and to install parts as needed.

You will test drive vehicles, assist teammates, and provide excellent customer service, with offsite road service as required. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components.
• Testing and installing batteries.
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components.

Job Description: Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components


• Testing and installing batteries


• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components


• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools


• Assisting other employees


• Test driving vehicles


• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services

Experience
