Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service and install brake, alignment, and suspension components at our Gillette, WY location. You will work with hydraulic and electric brake systems, test batteries, and perform wheel work while delivering friendly, high-quality customer service.

On-the-job training is provided. A valid driver’s license is required, and you must be able to lift 35 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to frequently lift 35 lbs and occasionally 75 lbs.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake, suspension, alignment, drive train and power steering parts.
• Test and install batteries.
• Dismount/mount tires and wheels, rebalance, and calibrate TPMS.
• Use equipment and miscellaneous hand tools.
• Assist other employees.
• Test drive vehicles.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite and emergency road services.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Refer customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Job Description: Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components


• Testing and installing batteries


• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components


• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools


• Assisting other employees


• Test driving vehicles


• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services


• Provides excellent customer service


• Refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license


• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment
