Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers seeks a Brake & Alignment Technician to service and install brake, alignment, and suspension components. You will test batteries, balance wheels, calibrate TPMS, and drive for offsite or emergency services while delivering strong customer care.

Expect to work with a range of tools and equipment, assist teammates, and help customers find the right solutions. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship in a busy shop setting.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service in a fast paced environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, occasional up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts.
• Test and install batteries.
• Dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies; rebalance wheels; calibrate TPMS components.
• Use equipment and hand tools to complete tasks.
• Assist other employees and test drive vehicles.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite and emergency road services.
• Refer customers to qualified colleagues when needed.

Job description

Job Description: Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components


• Testing and installing batteries


• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components


• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools


• Assisting other employees


• Test driving vehicles


• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services


• Provides excellent customer service


• Refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.
