Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician in Layton, Utah. You will install and service brake, alignment, and suspension components, test drive vehicles, and assist customers while following company policies.

On-the-job training is provided. The role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Competitive hourly pay with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake, suspension, alignment, and TPMS components.
• Test drive vehicles and operate service vehicles for offsite work.
• Disassemble/mount tires, rebalance wheels, and recalibrate components as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to other qualified staff.

Job Description: Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components; testing and installing batteries; dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components; using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools; assisting other employees; test driving vehicles; and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.; Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.
