Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers in Oregon is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service and install brake, alignment, and suspension components, while delivering friendly customer service.

You will work with tires, batteries, TPMS, and drive trains, using shop equipment and tools, and may drive service vehicles for offsite work. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds; occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts.
• Test and install batteries.
• Dismount/mount tires and wheels, rebalance, and handle TPMS components.
• Use shop equipment and hand tools.
• Assist other employees and test drive vehicles.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite and emergency road services.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to qualified staff when needed.

Brake & Alignment Technician Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• testing and installing batteries
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• assisting other employees
• test driving vehicles
• operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.
• Provides excellent customer service
• refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Pay and Benefits

$16.50 - $26.45 For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met, benefits include:
