Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician in Oregon to service brake, alignment, and suspension components and provide excellent customer care. You will perform installations, tests, and drivetrain work while following company policies and safety standards.

On-the-job training is provided, with opportunities to develop skills in tire service, TPMS calibration, and offsite road service.

Qualifications

Valid driver''s license.
Excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Frequent lifting up to 75 pounds and regular bending and squatting.

Responsibilities

Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drivetrain and power steering parts.
Test and install batteries.
Dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies, rebalance wheels, and calibrate TPMS components.
Use equipment and hand tools.
Assist other employees.
Test drive vehicles.
Operate service vehicles for offsite/emergency road service.
Provide excellent customer service.
Refer customers to other qualified employees as needed.

Job Description: Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components

Testing and installing batteries

Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components

Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools

Assisting other employees

Test driving vehicles

Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services

Provides excellent customer service

Refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment

Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds

Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing
