Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers in Lewiston, Idaho, seeks a Brake & Alignment Technician to service and install brake, alignment, and suspension components. You will perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balancing, and TPMS work while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced shop.

The role involves driving and testing vehicles, using shop equipment, and supporting teammates to ensure quality repairs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a rapid pace environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 75 pounds and physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts.
• Test drive vehicles and assist service vehicles for offsite or emergency road service.
• Dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies; rebalance wheels; replace or recalibrate TPMS components.
• Use equipment and hand tools; assists other employees as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Job Description:Brake & Alignment TechnicianBrake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.Primary Responsibilities:Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components; testing and installing batteries; dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components; using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools; assisting other employees; test driving vehicles; and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.; Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.Experience:Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.Qualifications:Valid driver's license; excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment; frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.Pay and Benefits:$14.85 - $24.50For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met, benefits include:Quarterly BonusMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceCompany-funded retirement planPaid time offShort- and long-term disabilityEmployee discountTuition AssistanceBenefits are subject to change at any time and governed by plan documents and Company policy.
