Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers in Florence, Oregon is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brakes, alignments, and suspension, ensuring quality and safety on every vehicle.

You will perform battery testing, wheel/tire work, TPMS calibration, and drive tests, while delivering outstanding customer service and adhering to company policies. On‑the‑job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing brake system components and suspension parts.
• Testing and installing batteries.
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and TPMS recalibration.
• Using tools and equipment to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Assisting other technicians and test driving vehicles.
• Performing offsite and emergency road service as needed.

Job Description: Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components


• Testing and installing batteries


• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components


• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools


• Assisting other employees


• Test driving vehicles


• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services


• Provides excellent customer service


• Refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience
