Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician in Fargo, ND to service brakes, alignment and suspension components, and to assist with tire mounting, balancing, and TPMS recalibration. You will drive service vehicles for offsite calls and deliver high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, occasional up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment parts.
• Test and install batteries.
• Dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies, rebalance wheels, recalibrate TPMS components.
• Use equipment and hand tools to perform tasks.
• Assist other employees; test drive vehicles.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite and emergency road service.
• Provide excellent customer service; refer customers to qualified colleagues.

Job Description

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• testing and installing batteries
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• assisting other employees
• test driving vehicles
• operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services
• Provides excellent customer service
• refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience: Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.
