Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers in Great Falls, MT is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service and install brake systems, suspensions, and alignments, while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities include testing batteries, mounting/dismounting tires, rebalancing wheels, TPMS work, using shop equipment and hand tools, and assisting teammates. Offsite road service experience may be required. Les Schwab offers strong benefits and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks daily.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel and squat for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake, alignment, suspension, drive train, and power steering components.
• Test and install batteries.
• Dismount/mount tires, rebalance wheels, and handle TPMS work.
• Use equipment and hand tools to complete repairs.
• Assist other technicians and test drive vehicles.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite and emergency road calls.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to colleagues as needed.

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• testing and installing batteries
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• assisting other employees
• test driving vehicles
• operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services
• Provides excellent customer service
• refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience: Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment
• frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds
• frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing

Pay and Benefits

Pay: $14.85 - $24.50

For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met.
