Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is hiring Brake & Alignment Technicians to service brake systems, alignments, and suspension components with a focus on safety and customer service. The role includes battery testing, TPMS work, tire mounting, balancing, and offsite road service support.

Applicants should hold a valid driver’s license and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with physical lifting and bending tasks typical of tire service work.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake, suspension, alignment and steering components.
• Test and install batteries and related systems.
• Dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies and rebalance wheels; recalibrate TPMS components.
• Operate tools and equipment; assist other staff; test drive vehicles; perform offsite/road-service tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to qualified colleagues as needed.

Job Description

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• testing and installing batteries
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• assisting other employees
• test driving vehicles
• operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services
• Provides excellent customer service
• refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience: Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Pay and Benefits

Pay: $14.85 - $24.50

For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met.
