Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brake systems, suspensions, alignments and related components. You will perform testing, battery checks, tire mounting/dismounting, wheel rebalancing and TPMS recalibration with attention to safety and customer service.

The role requires a valid driver's license, physical stamina for lifting and bending, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We offer competitive pay and benefits in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 lb, occasional up to 75 lb.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, reaching and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install and service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment and drive train components.
• Test drive vehicles and perform offsite or emergency road services.
• Dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies and rebalance wheels.
• Replace, rebuild or recalibrate TPMS components as needed.
• Operate service vehicles and use hand tools to complete tasks.

Job Description:Brake & Alignment TechnicianBrake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.Primary Responsibilities:Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components; testing and installing batteries; dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components; using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools; assisting other employees; test driving vehicles; and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.; Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.Experience:Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.Qualifications:Valid driver's license; excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment; frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.Pay and Benefits:$16.50 - $26.45For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met, benefits include:Quarterly BonusMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceCompany-funded retirement planPaid time offShort- and long-term disabilityEmployee discountTuition AssistanceBenefits are subject to change at any time and governed by plan documents and Company policy.
