Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brakes, suspension, and alignment systems and to install components. The role includes battery testing, tire/wheel work, TPMS calibration, and on-site/offsite service driving.

Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate excellent customer service. Physical labor is required, with lifting and bending as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, occasional up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment components and drive train parts.
• Test and install batteries.
• Dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies, rebalance wheels, and recalibrate TPMS components.
• Use specialized equipment and hand tools to complete tasks.
• Assist other employees and test drive vehicles.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite and emergency road services.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to other qualified staff as needed.

Job Description:

Brake & Alignment Technician Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components;
• testing and installing batteries;
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components;
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools;
• assisting other employees;
• test driving vehicles;
• and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.;
• Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Experience:

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Pay and Benefits:
