Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is hiring a Brake & Alignment Technician in California to service brakes, alignments, and suspension while ensuring high-quality customer care. The role includes test drives, battery tests, TPMS work, tire mounting, and offsite service duties.

The position requires a valid driver's license, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds with frequent bending and standing. Training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drive train and power steering components.
• Test and install batteries and TPMS sensors.
• Dismount and remount tires, rebalance wheels, and recalibrate TPMS components as needed.
• Use hand tools and shop equipment to perform repairs.
• Assist other technicians and test drive vehicles to verify repairs.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite and emergency road service and refer customers to appropriate staff.

Job Description:

Brake & Alignment Technician Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components;
• testing and installing batteries;
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components;
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools;
• assisting other employees;
• test driving vehicles;
• and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.;
• Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Experience:

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license;
• excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment;
• frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds;
• frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Pay and Benefits:
