Job summary

Gladstone-UCSF Institute of Genomic Immunology and UCSF Department of Neurological Surgery seek a faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level to lead a brain tumor immunotherapy program.

The successful candidate will be based at Gladstone Institutes (Mission Bay) with a primary UCSF appointment and an Investigator affiliation at the Institute, focusing on pioneering genomic immunology approaches.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degrees.
• Independent basic science research program in genomic immunology or immunotherapy for brain tumors.
• Strong background in immunology, genomics, genetics, genome engineering, and/or synthetic biology with meaningful achievements.

Responsibilities

• Develop extramurally funded research programs and mentor graduate and medical students.
• Hold primary faculty appointment at UCSF Department of Neurological Surgery and Investigator affiliation at Gladstone-UCSF Institute of Genomic Immunology.
• Lead a new brain tumor immunotherapy research program including preclinical models and clinical translation.
