UCSF in San Francisco seeks a Specialist to join the BRAIN Lab, affiliated with ci², to advance AI for brain MRI. You will curate large clinical MRI datasets, train deep learning models on HPC clusters, and analyze imaging and clinical data in collaboration with neurologists and radiologists.

The role includes contributing to manuscripts, presentations, and grant reports while maintaining reproducible code and sharing expertise with lab members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in neuroscience, biomedical, bioengineering, CS, physics, or related field, or equivalent research experience.
• Master’s degree or equivalent with three+ years of research experience; higher ranks require more experience.
• Demonstrated experience with brain MRI data and quantitative analysis.
• Experience applying AI/ML to medical imaging; strong Python skills and HPC use.
