You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
GS-9 Level: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

  • Applying laws, standards, policies, or guidelines related to accessibility services for individuals;
  • Producing, converting, or remediating documents in alternative media or accessible formats;
  • Converting documents into Braille or other alternative media formats using computer technology or assistive software;
  • Communicating technical or program information orally and in writing;

OR A Master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field of study that demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
OR Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a related field of study that demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
OR LL.B. or J.D., if related.
OR You may qualify by a combination of experience and education.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
GS-11 Level:

You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

  • Applying laws, standards, and guidelines related to accessibility services for individuals with disabilities;
  • Producing, converting, or coordinating the preparation of documents in alternative media or accessible formats
  • Converting documents into Braille or other alternative media formats using computer technology or assistive software;
  • Coordinating with public agencies, advocacy organizations, educational institutions, or other organizations that provide services or resources to individuals with disabilities;
  • Assisting with procurement, contract administration, or vendor coordination related to accessibility services;
  • Communicating technical or program information orally and in writing;

OR A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field of study that demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
OR Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field of study that demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
OR LL.M., if related.
OR You may qualify by a combination of experience and education.

GS-12 Level:

You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position must include:

  • Applying laws, standards, and guidelines related to accessibility services for individuals with disabilities;
  • Converting documents into Braille or other alternative media formats using computer technology or assistive software;
  • Coordinating with public agencies, advocacy organizations, educational institutions, or other organizations that provide services or resources to individuals with disabilities;
  • Using computer technology or assistive software for file conversion, document remediation, communication, data gathering, analysis or reporting;
  • Administering contracts or monitoring contractor performance related to accessibility services;
  • Communicating technical or program information effectively both orally and in writing.
AND
You must also meet the following requirements:
  • MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: Minimum age for federal employment is 18 years old, or at least 16 years old and have:
    • Graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or
    • Completed a formal vocational training program; or
    • Received a statement from school authorities agreeing with your preference for employment rather than continuing your education.
