Bracing & Clinical Support Specialist - FULL-TIME

M-F with 1 mandatory Saturday a month. 40 hours.

Position Summary

DME Coordinators are responsible for patient fitting and education of all durable medical equipment as prescribed by the physician, both in the clinic and in the surgery center. They coordinate and advise on all aspects of the DME program, including insurance and billing, and act as a liaison between the DME department and physician teams. They also support daily clinic duties.

Position Responsibilities

• Fit patients with prescribed orthosis, including evaluation, modification, training, and answering questions.
• Input patient information into EHR and ensure correct dispensing within the Breg Vision system.
• Coordinate with pre-cert department for authorizations required by insurance providers.
• Assist the Director of DME with daily operations, including maintaining records, stocking, and organizing.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory counts.
• Act as liaison between DME and physicians.
• Attend staff meetings and training.
• Support clinic staff with overall clinic flow, including cleaning rooms, rooming patients, and assisting with injections.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
• Ability to work well with patients and co-workers.
• Provide positive customer service.
• Basic anatomy knowledge preferred.
• Ability to multi-task.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to communicate, see, read, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle objects.
• Must be able to climb, pull, push, squat, kneel.
• Demonstrate exercises properly without limitations.
• Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; average lift 25-50 lbs.
