Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Sioux Falls Downtown is seeking a Part-Time Banquet Captain to deliver exceptional service during events. You will greet guests, coordinate food and beverage service, and help plan layouts and logistics.

This role requires staying on your feet for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and leading a team to ensure smooth F&B operations. Hours vary with events, with pay hourly plus tips.

• Detail oriented.
• Customer service experience helpful.
• Works well alone and with others.

Responsibilities

• Cheerfully greet and interact with guests, and take/deliver orders, including making food and drink suggestions.
• Welcome clients upon their arrival and be the point of contact for food & beverage, room setup, and audio/video needs during the event, including help plan the layout and logistics of the event.
• Manage the event floor and coordinate the food and drink service by liaising with the kitchen and service staff.
• Provide supervision, training, and leadership including customer service and serving etiquette to ensure smooth F&B operations.
• Manage team efficiency and conduct regular inventory of food and supplies.
• Contribute to smooth execution of special events, catering, or large parties while tending to the needs of the guests.
• Ensure compliance with safety and security standards, including equipment maintenance, kitchen cleanliness, and food safety documentation.
• Adhere to all food safety policies and regulations throughout the food cycle.

Role Summary:Provide exceptional table service to ensure a positive dining experience for all guests, while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient dining environment. Deliver excellent service by responding to guest requests, assisting with events, and maintaining proper care of equipment and facilities.
