Job summary

Domtar is seeking a BPM EI Planner for the Hawesville, Kentucky facility. The role reports to the Electrical Maintenance Superintendent and entails planning and coordinating maintenance work in a heavy industrial setting.

The ideal candidate has an electrical trade diploma and several years of industrial electrical experience, with a strong safety mindset and comfort with SAP, Microsoft Office, and project tools. This is a full-time permanent position at the Hawesville mill.

Qualifications

• Three years of industrial electrical experience.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Exposure to dust, heat, dirt, noise and other industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety-first approach and support safety culture in maintenance.
• Verify and review work notifications and schedules.
• Plan and schedule work orders for execution.
• Lead weekly schedule meetings with Production Coordinators.
• Review executed maintenance plans for improvements.
• Support on-call maintenance within the department rotation.
• Back-up supervision of hourly staff when needed.
• Supervise contractors as required.

The location in Hawesville, (Kentucky, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of BPM EI Planner. This job is full-time permanent.

Reporting to the department Superintendent, this position is responsible for providing support for the needs of the business in the Maintenance Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Possessing a personal dedication to safety, including proactive support of efforts to create a culture of safety excellence
• Knowledge of job tasks related totheoperation and maintenance ofan Industrial facility.
• Verifying and reviewing work notifications
• Planning work orders for execution
• Conducting weekly schedule meetings with Production Coordinators
• Reviewing executed work plans for improvement opportunities
• Performing maintenance on-call duty within the department rotation
• Supporting/back-up supervision of hourly employees, when needed
• Supervising contractors, as necessary

Your profile:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• ElectricalTechnical/Trade School diploma or equivalent
• Three (3) years ofIndustrial ElectricalExperience
• Strong commitment to safety
• Exposure to dust, heat, dirt, noise, various weather conditions and other industrial environments

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Five (5) years ofIndustrial ElectricalExperience
• Microsoft Office and Project knowledge
• SAP knowledge
• Understanding of preventative maintenance processes
• Knowledge of Maintenance Processes

The Hawesville Mill is a pulp and paper mill located in Hawesville, Kentucky on the Ohio River between Owensboro and Louisville. The Bleached Pulp Mill produces bleached hardwood pulp that is sold to other companies for use in the manufacture of various paper products and furnishes pulp to the Fine Paper Mill.
