Job summary

Canon City Schools is seeking a spring season coach at Cañon City High School to lead interscholastic activities. The stipend is based on a supplemental schedule and years of experience, starting between $2,580 and $3,721.

All coaching assignments are one-year contracts, and successful candidates will hold Colorado teaching or administrative certificates, be employed at least 50% of the day in a school setting, and be registered volunteers with Canon City Schools.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Colorado Department of Education teaching or administrative certificate.
• Must be employed as a teacher, counselor, or administrator for at least 50% of the school day.
• Must be a registered volunteer with Canon City Schools.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong rapport with diverse individuals including students, staff, parents, and community members.
• Collaborate with athletic directors and administrators to support the program.
• Display leadership, integrity, and sportsmanship in all activities.
• Enforce discipline consistent with school codes and promote safe, organized coaching.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through meetings and clinics.
