Job summary

Coaches will report to the athletic department, work with students and families, and uphold school codes, community relations, and professional growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Hold a current teaching or administrative certificate from the Colorado Department of Education.
• Be employed as a teacher, counselor, or administrator for at least 50% of the school day in a private school.
• Be a registered volunteer with Canon City Schools.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong rapport with diverse individuals and groups, including students, staff, parents, and community members.
• Collaborate with athletic directors, administrators, staff, teams, and parents.
• Display leadership, integrity, and a positive public demeanor at school and in the community.
• Enforce discipline among coaches, players, and support staff; model good sportsmanship.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth through district meetings, clinics, and training.
• Provide well-organized coaching sessions and effective game plans.
