Job summary

Punahou School is actively recruiting an Assistant Coach for the Boys Varsity Soccer Team. The Assistant Coach position assists the head coach with organizing the needs of the sport within the Athletic Program, conducts practices, motivates students, and instructs student athletes in game strategies and techniques.

The ideal candidate will have previous coaching experience in an educational setting, strong communication and organizational skills, and a positive track record of coaching

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• One year of positive and effective leadership in an interscholastic program as a coach, or related athletic experience.
• Background in teaching preferred, with experience working with adolescents.
• Knowledge of athletics value and competition at the high school level.
• Development of comprehensive practice plans and teaching/coaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach with organizing the needs of the sport within the Athletic Program.
• Conduct practices, motivate students, and instruct student athletes in game strategies and techniques.
• Support the Boys Varsity Soccer program during the 2026-2027 winter season, with evening and weekend commitments.
