Job summary

Punahou School Athletics is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Boys JV Volleyball Team. The role supports the head coach with organizing the sport within the Athletic Program, conducts practices, motivates student athletes, and teaches game strategies and techniques.

The ideal candidate will have coaching experience in an educational setting, strong communication and organizational skills, and a track record of leadership with student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1 year of positive leadership as a coach in an interscholastic program or related athletic experience.
• Background in teaching preferred, with experience working with adolescents.
• Knowledge of athletics value and competition at the high school level.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach with organizing the sport within the Athletic Program.
• Conduct practices, motivate students, and instruct players in game strategies and techniques.
• Support with development of practice plans and season planning.
