Job summary

Hastings High School is seeking a highly qualified candidate to serve as Head Girls Golf Coach. The role requires experience at the high school and/or collegiate level, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a commitment to fostering positive community relations.

The coach will report to the Athletic Director and Principal, coordinating and supporting the Varsity and Junior-Varsity programs and guiding staff and athletes toward shared objectives and growth.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school and/or collegiate level is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Commitment to developing positive relationships between the program and the local community.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate instruction, training, and development of all athletes and coaches at this level.
• Model a transformational, purpose-driven philosophy; represent a holistic definition of success.
• Advise, coordinate, and support athletic personnel for the Varsity team and guide the Junior-Varsity team.
• Work under the Athletic Director and Principal to meet objectives and evaluate performance.

Job description

Candidates are desired to have successful high school and/or collegiate level coaching experience, and/or related successful experiences in educational leadership. Candidates should have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the program and the local community.

This position reports to the Athletic Director and Principal, who provide overall job objectives and observe performance.

This coach will advise, coordinate, and support the athletic personnel for the Varsity team and provide guidance and support to the Junior-Varsity team, according to expectations of the Athletic Director and Principal.

This coach is expected to coordinate the instruction, training, and development of all athletes and coaches at this level in your sport; model a transformational, purpose-driven philosophy; represent a holistic definition of success; commit to personal development and collaboration; display a values-based approach as a coach who develops people first, and then the athlete; coaches the athlete first, and then the skill; coaches for the student-athletes before themselves; makes a lasting, positive impact on the school community; has meaningful, rewarding personal coaching experiences.
