Job summary

Tooele County School District seeks a Head Coach for Track at Stansbury High School to coach and develop student-athletes, create sport-specific drills, and lead the program with emphasis on teamwork and personal growth. Travel to events, including weekends, is required.

The role includes overseeing trips, pep rallies, equipment, assistant coaches, and scheduling within the district budget, while maintaining a positive school image.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Familiar with the rules and regulations of the sport/activity.
• Experience as an athlete and/or coach.
• Work closely with program assistant coaches.
• Ability to motivate, teach, and lead.
• Energetic, responsible, dependable, self-motivated and punctual.
• Excellent public relations skills with staff, parents and administration.
• Experience working with teens and willingness to supervise on trips, camps and competitions.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in fundamental track/field skills and develops sport-specific drills and practice plans.
• Creates an environment for personal development and emphasizes teamwork.
• Travels to events, including weekend competitions and trips.
• Oversees trips and events that benefit the team and school, participates in pep rallies and meetings.
• Maintains equipment, assists in hiring and guiding assistant coaches, and schedules activities within the district budget.
